"My zipper was down during the presentation and Rachel didnt say anything to me until after class," Julie says. I laugh. "Wow. Thats embarassing." "Tell me about it. If that was her up there with her frikin' fly down, I'd let her know!" she exclaims. "But whatever. Its over now." We walk down the stairs and make out way through the crowded sidewalks, pushing past students. There were students from different ethnicities. I like that about this school. There wasnt just one race here. There were a bunch! It made learning even more fun because we got to see different sides of very different cultures. We begin to walk towards our next class as my watch on my wrist ticked away, counting down the seconds to when the bell would ring. Julie and I talked. It was always just me and her. Its not like I had a problem with that. Julie was an easy person to talk to. But sometimes I did miss hanging with Rachel. Every recess she was with him. Wasnt it enough that he had her afterschool, too? "Alright, class, thats--" My teacher starts off before the bell rings, interrupting him. I start to throw my things into my bag and put my binder under my stack of books in my already crowded backpack. "Have a good day and don't forget to work on your projects! You have 1 week left," our teacher warns us. I make a note in my head that I have to work on my project afterschool. Another thing thats been on my To Do list for a while now. I walk down the stairs and as usual, meet up with Julie and Rachel ...
